CHEF ERIC BATTEN AT THE GALLERY

A culinary arts graduate from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Eric Batten has worked as a prep cook, kitchen manager and prior to joining Michigan State university, as a sous chef at the University of Iowa.

Batten has taken medals home from the Midwest Regional National Association of College and University Food Services Culinary Competitions in 2005, 2006, and 2008. In 2007, he won the gold medal in the Mid-Michigan Taste Fest Competition.
